Mercury’s Wings Six Central Pillars
Creativity
We champion and demand imaginative thinking when making our productions.
Innovation
We embrace enterprising thinking when making theatre work for the Gold Coast. We seek to be bold in our practice.
Inclusivity and Respect
We welcome everyone to be part of the Mercury’s Wings experience, to hear and be shaped by opinions and experiences beyond our own. We provide a forum that enables artists and audiences to use art to explore and examine our communities and how we find a place in them.
Engagement
We make theatre for, with and by our community for sharing within and beyond the Gold Coast. To do this we commit to identifying people, stories, expression and activities that will assist in creating theatrical events that are engaging and compelling.
Sustainability
We understand that the act of theatre making does have implications in terms of how we interact and deploy our community’s interests and resources. Our ways of working are informed by this understanding being implicit in our processes.
Collaboration
Champion collaboration as an imperative in the way we develop, engage and produce theatre in the community.
